Do you custom make kitchens?
No, we cannot produce custom-sized doors or panels, however the Kaboodle kitchen offering does consist of a wide range of products, colours and styles to suit your needs. If you find that there is a gap in your design due to your room size, you can use our infill cabinets or end panels as fillers if required. Remember, Kaboodle kitchens consist of no set design so the look and feel of your kitchen is entirely up to you!
Why are Kaboodle kitchens so much cheaper?
Kaboodle kitchens are a fraction of the cost that you would normally expect to pay if you were opting for a custom built kitchen. This price saving is largely due to the modular nature and standard sizes of the Kaboodle kitchen products.
How do Kaboodle kitchens compare to custom built kitchens?
The Kaboodle kitchen range has most of the features you would expect in a custom built kitchen, ensuring you a quality kitchen for years to come. The materials and workmanship are of excellent quality and the kitchen cabinets are all solid backed which ensures no lateral movement. Given the solid back you can use any part of the cabinet to fix it to the wall. All components will provide you with excellent life providing due care is taken.
I'm not much of a handyperson so how hard is the assembly and installation?
All kitchens come with step-by-step assembly instructions and an instructional DVD is available at low cost. Kaboodle kitchens have been successfully assembled and installed by people with limited installation knowledge, however if you feel that the job is beyond you, you can enlist the assistance of a professional installer. Even in this case you will still be saving money.
What is the maximum height of Kaboodle kitchens?
The maximum height of Kaboodle kitchens is 2200mm, from the floor to the top of the pantry or wall cabinets. However, although the pantry legs can be adjusted higher we recommend that 2200mm is the ideal maximum height to comfortably accommodate our range of kickboards and end panels.
How can I ensure that when joining my benchtops I get a smooth finish?
In order to get a smooth and professional finish we suggest for you to take the benchtops to a professional post forming outlet and they will cut the benchtops for you and provide the joining clamps required. Speak to a Bunnings Team Member for help with this service. Use wood glue and silicone to join bench tops.
How can bench tops be shortened?
For laminate bench tops, use any sharp wood cutting tools (eg. Circular saw, Jigsaw) and cut to the desired length. If the cut edge is exposed contact Kaboodle Customer Service (1800 666 078) for an additional edge strip to be sent.
How do I reduce / increase the gap between doors in double door cabinets?
To increase or decrease the gap between doors, the screw in the middle of each hinge needs to be adjusted. The hinges also allow the doors to move up and down, as well as left and right. Refer to your door installation instructions for more detailed instruction.
What products should I use to clean my Kaboodle products?
Cleaning products vary in their suitability for different substrates, so it is important to always test a product first before applying it to the whole surface. The best cleaning method for all Kaboodle products is warm soapy water on a damp cloth. For more concentrated cleaning, use non abrasive cleaners and avoid cleaners that contain bleach.
